At the very least, we will need:
- A copy of photo identification
- All of your PAYG summaries from jobs worked during the tax year
- A signed letter of engagement appointing us as your tax agent.
- Your TFN and the TFN of any member of your family you are also applying for.
We may need more identification depending on what your individual case status is, but if you do we will alert you to this.
Some expense types don’t need receipts – for these expenses, not having your receipts isn’t a big issue. However, there is a very strict policy on supplying receipts for some types of expenses.
There are numerous potential offsets and expenses you may be able to claim. We will assess your individual circumstances and let you know what your claimable expenses are. Check out our section on Reducing your Tax Liability for more information.
No, you’re not guaranteed one. It depends on factors such as how much tax you’ve already paid, how much income you earned and any offsets and expenses we can claim against your tax. Having said all this,
ultimately the final decision on whether or not you get a tax refund rests with the Australian Tax Office. However, we can guarantee that we will do everything in our power to reduce your tax liability as much as possible.
You will be charged $170 for every 28 days your tax return is late after the October 31st deadline.

Health insurance may or may not be required in order for foreign nationals trying to enter the country.
This depends on several factors, like nationality and visa-type, in order to prove that you have sufficient health cover for your stay.
Some nationalities are exempt due to agreements between countries, which provides them with access to Medicare,
the Australian public health care system, although access may be limited and may not apply to short term visits. These countries are:
- United Kingdom
- The Netherlands
- New Zealand
If you’re not eligible for Medicare, you will be financially liable and will have to pay as a private patient for any hospital or emergency treatment.
Any unpaid health care debts will affect future applications for getting a Visa.
There are 3 main types of Australian visas:
- Student: the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
- Working: Working visas vary and most require health insurance
- Visitor: most visitor visas don’t require medical insurance
Benefits, membership costs and eligibility can vary greatly between funds and insurance policies. So it’s important to make sure the cover
you select is suitable for your needs.
When selecting which health insurance for your travels, you’ll have many options, from either your home country or your destination.
There are benefits to both choices:
if you organize it in your home country, you will have more control, but getting cover within the country of destination is a faster process with more efficient cover.
